Among the avalanche of applications, recruiters shortlist those who have borne very short period between jobs because a long period of unemployment allows for the interpretation that you lack skills to fit for the role you have applied for.

People generally make opinions about you through your dressing, appearance and body language. Likewise, recruiters may consider you a less suitable candidate than the others for the role after knowing that you are unemployed. In fact, they may turn down your application outright.

They must try to know if you have done something to improve your skills and knowledge. If you have nothing to add in your resume like this, you will, unfortunately, struggle a lot to land a new job. You should mention a part-time job or courses you have pursued when you were out of work. Showing that you have been produced during unemployment will leave a good impression on the recruiter.

Have a clear vision

Many unemployed people get ready to accept any kind of job even if they do not fit for the role in order to make ends meet. Undoubtedly, settling credit card bills and outstanding quick loans becomes tough when you are unemployed, but it does not mean that you will try to grab any job offer. Recruiters want to hire candidates who have a clear vision of where they want to be and what they want to achieve. Be confident

If interviewers have dozens of applications, they will pick the one who best fits for the role. Qualification, experience, skills and confidence, everything matters a lot. If you think that you deserve to be hired, you do not need to be nervous because you have been unemployed. You have to prove your interviewers that you have the right skills for the job you have applied for. Answer confidently to every question of an interviewer. The higher the value you add to your resume, the less important the employment status is.
